US-Africa Tech Challenge to take place in 2021

The US-Africa Tech Challenge is looking for African technologies developed to address issues of propaganda and disinformation across the continent.

The Challenge was announced at the virtual East Africa Com 2020 event and the challenge will take place virtually in early 2021. It will be sponsored by the US State Department's Global Engagement Center, in partnership with the US Embassy in Nairobi, the European Union, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), and Park Advisors.

David Bray, inaugural director of the GeoTech Center at The Atlantic Council, spoke at East Africa Com, giving more details about the US-Africa Tech Challenge.
