What will happen when 1 billion Africans are connected to the Internet? The continent's population is growing rapidly, as is its connectivity. There are challenges to overcome, but this milestone will be a reality sooner than most think.
We like to ask the big questions here at AfricaCom, so we spoke to Nivi Sharma, COO of connectivity technology specialist BRCK, about the digital Africa of the future and its potential, covering sectors from education, to agriculture, to healthcare.
Sharma spoke to AfricaCom TV about what she sees as the key challenges to connectivity on the continent, why she has dedicated her career to widening digital access, and BRCK's work to produce connectivity hardware that is best suited to specific challenges in Africa.
